I past by the Honolulu City Lights the other night and it was really nice.


Checked out Tracks but it was super crowded so we ended up surfing crowded Pokai Bay. Hahah.

Da Moke wanted to couch potato all day but somehow managed him to get off the couch and come with me and Tako to the Westside. Looks like he just woke up in this pic. Hahah.

Birthday

It was my Dad's Birthday the other day so we had a small party at my house.

HIO

My brother had the HIO contest today at Haleiwa. We went down to check it out and the waves were not that good. There was some size but it was a little to North for Haleiwa. Can you see Kaito about to get worked on this set?

Christmas is almost here!

Stay at the contest at haleiwa. The waves are solid 6ft and they are running the boys division and the girls. Wrong swell direction so not that good.

Phiten Party

Had a party with all the Phiten Staff the other day. School is finally over so now it's time to surf!

Nobu

Ate some killer Sushi at Nobu yesterday with all kinds of people from Japan. If you haven't been there you have to go there once in your life time. Its super expensive but its super good too. My Pops works there but too bad he dosen't bring home leftovers.

New Fin!

I got my own fin model! It comes in 3 different sizes 6, 6.5, 7. I just want to thank Island Fin Design and Basil for helping me out!

Surfed Chuns today. It was 4 feet and not that crowded. The weird thing was that Pidleys was super crowded! The sand on the beach was flat and smooth. Must be that huge Eddie swell that caused the sand to become so flat.

20th Birthday

Yesterday I had plenty of people come for my 20th Birthday! Thanks Takako for setting it up! And Thanks to everybody for coming down!

Can't Sleep

Yesterday when I tried to go to sleep my brother was snoring like this. 15 years old and already snores this loud. That isn't good...

Get waves!!

The waves were good today on the South Shore. A little inconsistent but it was 3 feet on the sets. North winds blowing so it was straight offshore.

Stay at dhead and its 1-2ft. Real weak. Good for longboarding.

Eye test

My friend showed me this at school and I failed the eye test too.

Busy

Been kind of busy lately since we are approaching the end of the semester. I have bunch of projects to do so thats what I am working on. Should have some big surf heading our way for the country. Possibly Eddie? We will just have to wait... But Big surf from the NW lasting for over a week starting tmrw.

Thanksgiving

Had a mean Thanksgiving dinner at Mitsu House. We never ate Turkey but we had other good stuff.

After we ate we cruised inside Mitsu house watching some surf videos and talking stories. Here is Takako and Hana cruising. And in the back are the two gamers Kaito and Hoku. They were playing a fishing game on the I phone the whole night!

Today I stopped by at the surf sample sale at Rainbow drive in. There was all kinds of stuff from many companies.

Black Friday

I woke up little before 5 to go shopping at Ala Moana and Wal Mart. I didn't buy a single thing but it was fun looking around. Actually I did buy something... I had a friend of mine standing in the super long line at fitted so I told him to buy me a hat. I didn't really care what hat he bought but I just wanted a hat. Hahah.

Japanese 307

Last week in my Japanese Class we were supposed to sing the song 'Oh my Darling' Japan 307 style. Here are the lyrics.

Unfortunately I didn't get a video of myself singing it. The reason is that when I showed up to class the teacher says 'Lets get started with our singing. Does anybody want to volunteer to go first?' Of course NO ONE volunteered. Then the teacher says 'じゃ　Genkiさん　どうぞ！’　Which means　Go ahead Genki.　I　responded with a 'Are you serious?!' and she said yes. So as you can see I had no time setting my camera to video myself. Hahaha.
By the way, I had to do a 2 times because I got the lyrics wrong on my last sentence!!! What a embarrassing day!

Here is yesterday at Ala moana. The waves were pretty small. Seems like it came up today, may be around 2 feet in town so catch some before it gets flat.

Ate at Queen St. Cafe today and I ate the Combo Plate with Steak and Garlic Chicken. The plate is $6 and the drink is 50 cent. Go check them out on Queen st kind of near Sports Authority.

Oxbow in Japan

Here is some videos from the Oxbow WLT in Japan. Hopefully they have another contest in Japan next year. I saw next year's schedule for the ASP Longboard and they had 3 WLT events and a bunch of QS events for longboard. Stoked! Is longboarding coming back?!

Came up a little overnight. It was solid 2 feet today with windy conditions. Looks like the swell is going to peak tmrw but don't expect it to get that big.

2012

I went to go watch 2012 this weekend and the theatre was super crowded. The movie was ok. The graphics were cool but some of the parts was unrealistic. Do you believe that the world is going end on 12/21/12?

Reef Hawaiian pro

The Reef Hawaiian pro started today in 2 to 3 foot surf at Haleiwa. Will the contest live up to last year's final day?

Look how crowded lighthouse was today! Crazy!

Surfed D head today and it was solid 2 feet. I finished school at 5 so by the time I got out there it was dark already. Caught 8 waves today. Good enough for me.

I ate at Fresh Catch for lunch and it was mean! If you haven't gone there you better get there!

Japanese class

Here is what I have to put up with during my Japanese class. Singing?! Are you kidding?! Look how bored my class looks. I have to sing this song next week infront of the class. This song is supposed to help us with our japanese.

Concession

The last couple days we had a nice south swell in town. The waves were solid 3 feet and really fun. Today it was super clean with the north winds but it was a little smaller than yesterday. Looks like another south swell next week. Dosen't look as big as this past one but its better than nothing.

Ewa

Yesterday I went surfing Ewa with Mitsu and Tako. The waves were 2 feet and nobody was out so it was pretty fun. We tried to get some water footage but it was harder than we thought. Haha.

Lani

Shortboarde Lani's yesterday and it was pretty fun. 3-5ft solid and the current was strong. I felt like I was paddling forever on a shortboard. I videoed Kaito and Brice for a little while but it was impossible to find them. Some how I got luck and I videoed the right person. Haha.

Kelly Surfing

Headed down to Pidleys today in the morning. It was about 2 feet and perfect for longboarding. Here are some clips from today. Thanks Takako for videoing!

Hurricane Neki swell

Here is concessions today. We had some swell from the Hurricane so it was pretty fun. The swell was super west so the rights were long.

Here is the North Shore yesterday. It was epic for a little while then it got onshore. Too bad it didn't stay this way.

Rainy day

Here is the waves at concession today. It was actually better than it looks. It was about 2 feet and a little bumpy but wasn't nearly as crowded as the past few days.

I saw my brother's new schedule for the year and he basically has 3 day weekends every weekend! Thats crazy! They need to do something about the furlough fridays!
I wish UH had those. Maybe the professors at UH could go on strike... Hahaha!

TS Neki

So far it dosen't look like TS Neki is going to come close to Hawaii. Should become a hurricane any moment thou.

Here is a pic of courts yesterday. It was solid 3 feet with some solid 4 foot sets when it did come in. Dosen't look that good in this pic but the wind direction got better in the afternoon and it was fun.

After surfing some good waves we ended the day with some Karaoke. I can't sing but at least I tried. Haha! Here is Hoku and Takako singing.

Mokes

Surfed Mokes this morning and the waves were 3 feet on the sets but slowly dropping. Town is still small but rideable. SHould have some solid waves this weekend in town but I bet everyone is goin to be on it.

Chuns

Surfed ChunsReef today and the waves were 2-4 feet on the sets. It didn't look to good from the beach but when I got out there it was lining up pretty good and it was fun. I saw Ned and Koa out there too. Today for the first half of my session I rode my longboard and the second half I shortboarded with Brice. Hopefully there's still some waves tmrw. Pretty good south swell this weekend!

Sisters

Lately I haven't been surfing too much. I surfed Mokes on saturaday morning and it was really fun but that's about it. I've been hangin around with Takako and her sister from Japan Hiroko. We went hiking Makapuu yesterday which felt really good because the trades are back. But not for long... We might get variables may starting wednesday, thursday. And Some soouth swells heading our way too this weekend. Should be a fun week of surf!
