21st anniversary

I went to eat at Buca Di Beppo and it was ok. Not bad and the portions are huge! Don't go by yourself if you go there. Atleast bring 4 people. More the better!

Here was the waves yesterday. I heard the waves are a hair bigger today. Should have more waves coming in around friday. Hopefully its 3 feet.

Tsunami

Here is what happened in American Samoa today. Pretty scary stuff. I hope everybody is safe down there.
In Oahu we had a small tidal surge of 1.5 feet. We were lucky nothing big hit us.

Single Fin

I tried out my new single fin yesterday and it was pretty fun. I had to get used to the square nose and the edgeless board but in the end I started to get a hang of it. Check my Japanese blog for some videos.

First Swell of the Year

I headed down to the country today. The waves were solid 6-8ft with some bigger sets.
I ended up surfing Himalayas with only couple guys out. I had a really fun session with Mitsu till a freak set came in and I got caught inside. After getting pounded we called it a day. No matter how good of a session you're having you always seem to get pounded on the North Shore.

Concession

Surfed Concession today. It was 2 feet with nobody out. We brought out the digital camera and here is some of the pictures.

In the afternoon it was actually bigger so there was a little sign of the small south swell.

The waves were 1-2 ft on the sets at ala moana. Not that good but there was nobody out. Good fun if u have a longboard.

Mokes

Yesterday I surfed Mokes. The waves were solid 3 feet and perfect. Good to be home...

I went to go eat Yogurtland the other day and it was good! I took my friends from Japan there and they gave it a 10 out of 10.

I went to go eat at Gavin's house the other day and here is his son Riku riding me like a horse. I had to do this most of the time I was there. Good thing he's light.

Here is his other son Kai showing his art skills. He's only 6 years old and he can draw way better than me. Pretty soon he can start air-brushing my surfboards.

17 More Holidays?!

It seems like the Public Schools are going to have 17 more holidays due to the teachers 7.9% paycut. Less Pay = Less work for teachers = Less education for students = more time to surf! Hahaha. Too bad Im not in High school anymore.

Surfed Dhead this morning and it was pretty fun. Almost 3 feet on the sets and pretty clean for Dhead.

Here is what happens every weekend at Ala Moana Beach Park! No more parking so these guys just park on the side walk. Crazy.

Waves Came up

There's a nice little south swell running in town right now. The waves are 3 feet on the sets and looking fun.

The waves came up in town but it seemed like everybody on the island was on it. It was 3 feet on the sets and super crowded!!! Could this be our last south swell?!

Surfed Concession this morning and there was some small waves. It was almost 2 feet on the sets and one of the bigger days since last week. See you in the water.

Contest Video

Here is some videos from the last jpsa contest. I had a 10 and a 9 in the semi finals but couldn't get a decent wave in the final. Im usually not that patient but in the finals I think I was too patient. I thought there was going to be more waves since the final was 10 minutes longer than a normal heat but nothing really came in...

Next door neighbor

Here is Stephen our next door neighbor. He always comes over to our house to play on the trampoline with his sister.

Mokes

Surfed Mokes this morning and it was super glassy and solid 2 feet with some bigger sets. No one was out and it was pretty fun. In the evening I surfed Concession and it was pretty flat. Maybe 1 foot if you're really lucky. Hopefully Town comes up on thursday a little. Nothing really in forecast for both shores. Might be pretty small the next week so go find a new hobby!
