Finals

Pretty small day today in town. It came up a little but it is real inconsistent. May be 2 feet on the sets. Should come up a little more tmrw into sunday. I got finals next week so I have to start studying!

BBQ Party

Back to Normal

Freddy P won the 6 star QS contest at trestles. He was ripping the whole contest and he took out some big names too. Congradulations Fred!

Here is today's Concessions. I surfed for about 1 hour but it wasn't as good as the last couple days so it wasn't that good. It was about 2 feet on the biggest sets and clean.

I went to Basil's Art show yesterday at Blue Hawaii and it was pretty sick! There was some crazy and creative pictures! Here's Basil's new slippah company called SUSU. All of them were Sick! Should be coming out pretty soon so keep an eye out at your local stores!

I was skimming thru a shortboard mag in Japan and I saw a pic of myself in it. It was an advertisement for my wetsuit sponsor World Force. The funny thing is I don't even know when they took this picture so I don't know how they got it in the advertisement. Haha.

Awesome waves

The waves have been really good the last few days. If you haven't surfed you're missing out! Haha. I've been riding my shortboard at D-head and my longboard at Concessions. Nothing really much to write since all I've been doing is Surf, Surf, and a little bit of school! Got finals coming up so hopefully the waves are junk next week. There might be a small 1-2ft south swell next weekend but thats about it. Maybe toward the end of finals week might be good. Keep on praying! See you in the water!

Good to be back home!

Came back from Japan today. The waves for the contest was super windy, small (final day) and super junk. I ended up in 3rd place. I could've done better but at the same time It could've been worse with those wave conditions. I got plenty of homework to do so im going to be busy this whole week! I hope the waves are junk this week. Haha.

Japan

Iam finally in Japan! THe plane ride was 8 hours but I slept for 5hours and I watched a movie so it went by too fast! The movie I watched was Marley and Me. I know this may sound stupid but I actually enjoy the plane rides to Japan. Especially when you have the whole aisle to yourself! I just slept and I was watching the movie laying down. I felt like I was in first class! Haha! Eventhough I have never been on first class. The closest I got to first class was today. I actually got to check in at the first class line! Hahaaha!
The plane ride was awesome but when I got to Chiba the waves were real small. I jumped in the water with my Full Suit and it was super cold! My hands and feet were all numb but it wasn`t as bad as last year. After I got out of the water I checked my board and I had a ding on the tail! It was all smashed up and now one side of my tail is pulled in more than the otherside. I don`t even know how I got it! So im kind of bummed that I dinged my board because I was planning to ride that board during the contest! We`re goin to try fix it tmrw morning and hopefully it still rides good. Anyways Im super tired now and Im really full because I ate 2 pieces of steak! Good nite.

Skype

Sometimes Im too lazy to go up stairs to talk to my brother so I end up Skypeing them. Here's a pic of the 2 Clowns at my house. Mimi was here doin my brothers homework again so I was yelling at her on skype. Haha. She could easily hear my voice from the computer and from downstairs. lol.

Air reverse

Here's Kaito doing a small kine air reverse at Concesions. Takako got a waterproof camera for her birthday gift so I've been taking pics and taking video of everybody in the water.

Concessions

Surfed the park today but there was no waves. It was like 1 foot and high tide. Here's a picture of a cutback at Flies couple weeks ago. There might be a small 1 foot south swell in the next couple days but next week tuesday looks a lot better. Keep your fingers crossed.

Happy Birthday Takako!

Yesterday we had a surprise Birthday Party for Takako at Todai. Everything went as planned so it was awesome! I was a little nervous that she was going to find out when we got to the Todai parking lot because if she saw someone's car then she would find out. Luckily there was a parking stall right in the front so she never found out. The food was good and the dessert was awesome! I ate so much that when I got home I weighed my self and I was 5 pounds heavier! Haha! Just wanted to say Thank You to all the people who came. Couldn't have done it without you guys! Thanks!

Surfed Haubush with everybody today and it was real fun. I brought 4 longboards to test out. All of the boards ended up working good so Im even more confused on what board to bring to Japan. Haha.


I also got a package from the mail from FA NINE Japan. I got some cool things like seat covers, a sick towel and bunch of clothes and new stickers! Thanks to everybody from FA NINE for always helping me out. Can't wait to see everybody in Japan pretty soon. I leave on April 22nd.

Concessions

I got some new fins from my sponsor Island Fin Design. The left one is for my 9'2 single fin and the middle one is for my high performance longboards and the right one is for my single fin shortboard. Just wanted to say Thanks to Steve from Island Fin for always making me awesome fins. Go Check them out in Wailua.

Today I surfed Concessions 2 times. The waves were solid 2 feet and it was pretty fun. My first session was during the high tide so the waves were real weak but it wasn't that crowded. My second session was during the lowtide so it was a lot better.

D-head

Surfed D-head today with Scotty Fong. The waves were 2 feet and the inside was good. It was good to see Scotty today cause I haven't seen him in a long time. It seems like he's super busy with a full time job and a full time graduate student at UH. I don't know how he's still surfing so good with no surfing time. Looks like there might be a south swell on April 9th so keep your fingers crossed!
