Concession was solid 2 feet today. Still get some waves!

China's Contest

This year's China's contest there was no elimination and you surf 3 rounds and the top 4 makes it to the final. I ended up missing the cut. I needed a better 3rd round but I didn't catch the right waves. Here is one of the better waves but Kai dropped in on me... I don't know whats wrong with him but before I caught this wave he told me "Don't go or else I'll break your leg!" What kind of Pro says that?! I was even more surprised when he actually tried to break my leg! Good thing I drink plenty of milk!


The PRO division was horrible but atleast the Team Challenge was fun! I was on team Drift Surf with Derek, Atsushi and Kaito. Im the only real longboarder but we won!!! Some of the other teams were stacked like Kekoa's and Scotty Fong's team but we came in first place!


Here is team Oyaji's. How could they call themselves Team Sushi without me on it! hahaha!

Kaito also won the Boys division. Check out his top 2 waves.

Phone Scam

Today I got a phone call from a guy saying I won 2.5 million dollars and a 2009 BMW! (Yeah Right....) The guy kept on asking "How do you feel?" And I kept on saying I feel good if its true... When he asked me what my credit card was I told him I don't have one. I think he was bummed! Hahaha! Just hang up on them if they ever call you!

Small waves

Today the waves have dropped off from yesterday. If you wait a while there is still some leftover 2 foot sets but right now the high tide is starting to kill it. Should have plenty of waves starting tommorrow!

Took Kelly to her yearly checkup yesterday. She weighed 64 pounds.

Concession

Concession was good this morning! Solid 2 feet maybe some bigger sets. But right now its super high tide so its kind of slow.

Akule

Here is a video of me riding the Akule model shaped by Mitsu.
This video was taken at Queens after China's Womens contest. Looks like this year the mens is going to score some waves!!!

Kaito and Weston

Here is some pics of Kaito's and Weston's Big Oio. The top picture is Kaito's 2 Oio. Actually Kaito only caught One in a half because Kylen gave him Kaito his pole when he got a bite cause he felt sorry for Kaito since he was the only one that never caught a fish yet. HAAAAAHAHHAHA! But at the end Kaito got a bite and it made his day. Weston caught the biggest one at almost 7 pounds.

Beach Park

The waves came down today. Maybe 2 feet on the sets if you are lucky! But don't worry there are more swells on the way! Might get a pretty big one on wed, thurs, so keep your fingers crossed.

Last contest in Japan

Here is some videos from the last contest in Japan at Shonan. This was the first day which had waves! This is actually one of the better days in Shonan. The next day the contest was canceled because it was flat! THanks Takeshi for taking Video!

Back In Hawaii

Surfed with Takako this morning and we both rode the Akule model. The waves were a little choppy but still get some sets. Maybe 3 feet on the sets if you wait a while.

This is one thing I miss about Japan. The Grinds! Check it out. THe table has everything from sushi to curry to tonkatsu! THis is why I come back 8 pounds heavier! Hahaha.

Contest

The contest was canceled because there was no waves. It was barely breaking but they still ran the womens contest. Here`s a video of Yuki Suzuki`s 6.75.

Onshore

THe waves have been like this the whole week at shonan. SUper onshore and waist high at the biggest.

Here is the legendary Homozou! Hahaaha. THere are rumours that the statue comes alive at night! LOL.

CHeck how fat Kaito was couple years ago!

THis is my new bike with a board rack!!! Now I can go surf anywhere near shonan!

Final at Chikura

Here's a short video of the final at Chikura. This was the first contest of the JPSA series. THe waves were about 2 feet and super offshore!!! Couldn't do anything cause the waves were super fast and offshore. check it out.

Small waves

Today the waves were small again so I helped out at the Surf shop that i stay at. In the afternoon I was Skyping with Takako and Kaito.

The only thing good about Japan is the Food! Here is another day of eating Good Sushi. You can`t go wrong when each plate is only $1!

Good Food but no waves...

This is one of my favorite things to eat at Sukiya. Gyu don with curry rice and miso soup! The best part is that the food comes really fast (way faster than rainbows) and its cheap and good!

Here`s one of the Kaiten sushi we went to during the shizunami trip. Here`s Jason Suzuki grinding! Look how much he ate! Hahahha! Nah I helped him eat some of those.
