Boards

Picked up a new board today and went to Drift Surf to ship my boards to Japan. I shipped 4 longboards and I am bringing 2 shortboards with me on the flight. All my boards look good especially the newest one (green one). The blank mitsu used was his own custom blank made by US blanks and the stringer is a little thinner than the usual ones so it has added flex to the board. Much mahalos to Drift Surf and Mitsu for always supporting me. Check their site out at driftsurf.com or mitsu's blog at http://mitsusurfboard.blog120.fc2.com/

Also surfed some D-head but it was way smaller than yesterday and still pretty crowded. It was about 2 feet on the sets with the usual diamond head texture. At night I went to the driving range with my friend Chikara. Chikara is a really great golfer and I learned a lot from him today. THanks Chikara!

D-head

Surfed some D-head today. The waves were really good and a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be. It was 3 feet on the sets but it was kind of crowded. There is construction going on so there is limited parking stalls untill 3:30 pm. After I surfed I went to the Ala Wai golf course to play 9 holes. I shot a 47 for the front nines so i am pretty happy since it is my lowest score so far in my golf career.
