Soccer

The other day we made a soccer Team using riders from my sponsor Drift Surf Hawaii. All of us played a little soccer before and we decided to have a game with my friends team. We were all playing good the first 5 minutes but after that a lot of people got tired. Haha! The other team was pretty good and controlled most of the game but they just couldnt score. We scored when we got our chances and won 5-3! Team Drift won the China's Team challenge last month and now we won our first soccer game! Whats next?!

Bicycle

Here is Kekoa Snoring in Japan. Haha.

Today I figured the whole island would be on the North Shore so I decided to go cycling with my friend Travis. We checked out Dhead and headed toward Hawaii Kai Costco and grabbed a berry smoothie and headed home. Im pretty tired now so im going to go sleep! Good nite!

3rd place

I ended up getting 3rd place at the Ibaragi contest. I was surfing really good till the finals but in the finals I just didnt get the waves. In the semi finals I had a 10 and a 9 but in the finals the waves never seem to come to me!

On the last day we went to eat Yakiniku! It was pretty good!!!

We also went to Harajuku Land but it was poring!!! We still had fun though! I will be leaving Japan tommorrow so see you in the water!

Ibaragi

Today we headed down to ibaragi from fukushima. The waves were about 2 feet and kind of sloppy.

Ate some mean tonkatsu on the way to ibaragi!

Ate some mean sashimi at the minshuku we are staying at. The contest starts tommorrow so wish me luck!

Here it is... The Gatchapin video. Gatchapin is one of Japan's most famous tv character! Its been around for over 30 years!

Contest result

I ended up getting =3rd. I lost to Kekoa in the semi finals. This contest was my first man on man heat so it was really fun! The priority rule is pretty awesome! You can catch any wave you want so it was fun! Kekoa ended up beating Bonga in the final! Congratulation Koa!


After the contest we went to Kappa Sushi! $1 for any plate you like!!!

Day 1 Kitaizumi

So far so good. I won both my heats today and Im in the round of 16 tmrw. One more heat then its man on man! I never surfed a man on man heat before so I hope I make my next heat! Here's me during my interview with Nick! Nick was the MC for the contest and he always does a good job! Funny guy!

ASP Japan COntest

Fukushima

Today me, Mitsu, Kaito, Brice, Mitz and Daichan headed over to fukushima. It must've took about 4 hours! And I drove over half of it! Haha. THe waves were about 2 feet on the big sets and not that good. Im pretty tired so Im going to sleep in tmrw!

we ate at Shirokiya today! This is way different from the shirokiya in Hawaii. Same name but the one in Japan is a restaurant. It was pretty damn good!

Today there was another earthquake in japan. This was the 2nd one in 2 days! I woke up this morning at 5 because of the earthquake! I hope there isn't one tmrw!

Full Moon today!

I ate mean Yakiniku today for dinner!

Here is a short video from yesterdays session. Today it was even bigger than yesterday! This morning it was like 3 feet and by end of the day it was 5 feet!
The waves were so fun that I ended up surfing 8 hours!

Shonan get waves!!!!

Finally there is some waves in Shonan!!!! Its solid 3 feet on the sets but it is closing out a little. Should be good tmrw morning with the low tide.
